The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Bar. Sly Ezeokenwa, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
Ezeokenwa in his congratulatory message signed by Dr. Tony Olisa Mbeki Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the National Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), described Soludo as a heaven-sent miracle to this generation, an intellectual colossus, a reform-minded leader, and a visionary statesman whose contributions continue to shape Anambra and redefine leadership standards across Nigeria.
“This milestone offers us a unique opportunity to reflect on and celebrate not just his globally respected career as a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and an acclaimed economist, but also his enduring legacy of public service, integrity, and futuristic governance,” Ezeokenwa stated.
The APGA National Chairman praised Soludo’s sterling leadership, marked by sweeping reforms, infrastructural revolution, and innovative human capital development initiatives such as the One Youth, Two Skills programme. He added that Prof. Soludo’s administration has repositioned Anambra as a model of subnational governance, earning admiration even across party lines.
“Under Prof. Soludo’s guidance,” the APGA National Chairman noted, “Anambra has witnessed unprecedented growth in education, security, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic stability. His policies have not only impacted lives but have also restored public trust in governance through transparency, inclusion, and result-driven leadership.”
Barrister Ezeokenwa acknowledged Prof. Soludo’s transformative influence within APGA, noting that his strategic direction has reinvigorated the party’s strength and relevance in Nigeria’s political arena. “I remain personally grateful for his support during my emergence as National Chairman. His trust in our shared vision is a testament to his unshakable belief in APGA’s future and its role in shaping Nigeria’s destiny,” he said.
As the Governor clocks 65, on behalf of the National Working Committee, Board of Trustees, entire membership, and teeming supporters of APGA, Barrister Ezeokenwa prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and divine protection upon him. “May Prof. Soludo continue to serve as a beacon of hope for Ndi Anambra, a steadfast pillar for our great party, and a guiding light for future generations of Nigerian leaders. His life remains a source of inspiration, and his leadership, a remarkable gift to our people,” he concluded.
On his part, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze says Governor Chukwuma Soludo has proven to Ndi Anambra and Nigerians at large that his primary purpose of coming into politics was to fast track development in Anambra State and provide a better life for the citizenry through impactful administration.
Felicitating Governor Soludo on behalf of the State Legislature as he marks his 65th birthday, Rt. Hon. Udeze noted that Governor Soludo has distinguished himself among his colleagues in the country in all aspects of governance, expressing immense satisfaction that the Governor has done the State proud, evident in the unprecedented milestones he has recorded in all sectors of the State economy.
The Speaker who stated that the State Legislature’s resolve to continue to accord necessary support to Governor Soludo’s administration was predicated on the Governor’s remarkable achievements in the State, lauded him for running a transparent, purposeful and inclusive government where the citizenry are not in doubt of his genuine actions and development initiatives.
He enumerated some of Governor Soludo’s accomplishments in the State to include construction of the first and befitting Government House and Governor’s Lodge known as the Light House, Solution Fun City, massive road infrastructure across the State, improved education and health care system, agricultural revolution, massive employments, improved security
architecture, as well as youth development among others, adding that the Governor has applied his prudent management prowess in achieving good governance in the State without borrowing money, despite the legislatures’ approval.
Rt. Hon. Udeze reasoned that since Governor Soludo has performed creditably in all departments of governance, Ndi Anambra should reciprocate his gesture by appreciating him accordingly especially by ensuring that he is reelected during the November 8 governorship election in the State, even as he appealed to politicians in the State irrespective of their party affiliations to see Governor Soludo’s reelection as a collective responsibility.
The State Number One Lawmaker while wishing Governor Soludo who was former Economic Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria more fruitful years ahead, prayed God to keep watching over his life and endeavours and give him and his family peace at all times.
