Four nabbed for open urination on Lagos bridge |

In a continued effort to enforce environmental sanitation laws and promote a cleaner city, the Lagos State Anti-Open Defecation team apprehended four individuals for urinating in public on Kodesoh Bridge, Ikeja around 8:30pm on Friday.

The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, revealed this development on his X handle on Saturday.

Wahab said suspects were caught during a routine late night monitoring and enforcement operation. 

He said they have since been taken into custody and are currently being held at the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) office in Boladale, Oshodi.

The authorities of the Lagos State Government confirmed that the individuals will face prosecution in line with existing environmental laws aimed at curbing open defecation and maintaining public hygiene in the state.

The Lagos State Government reiterated its commitment to the #CleanerLagos initiative, urging residents to comply with sanitation regulations and make use of designated public facilities.
