Fubara returns to Rivers after 2-week overseas trip

Mr. Siminalayi Fubara, the suspended Governor of Rivers State, has returned to Rivers State following a two-week trip abroad.
The governor arrived at the international wing of the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, around 7pm on Friday.
A video sighted by this medium, showed some aides welcoming him at the airport before he was escorted to a waiting SUV, which departed immediately.

Recall that in March, President Bola Tinubu suspended Fubara, his deputy Prof. Ngozi Odu, and members of the State House of Assembly after declaring a state of emergency in the state.
The President cited attacks on oil pipelines by militant groups as part of the worsening conflict between the governor and 27 lawmakers.
