Gov Adeleke Launches ‘Imole Wi-Fi’ to Offer Free Internet Access to Students, Residents

The Osun State Government has unveiled Imole Wi-Fi, a free public internet service providing digital access to residents, students, businesses, and communities across the state.
The initiative was announced by Information Commissioner Kolapo Alimi, highlighting its deployment in key locations including the Osun State Library, Alphastart Hub, Osun Mall, Salvation Army Middle School, Osogbo Grammar School, and offices of the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Technology and Digital Economy.
Unveiling the service, Governor Ademola Adeleke described Imole Wi-Fi as “a gateway to opportunity,” aimed at cutting barriers, strengthening connectivity, and driving economic growth throughout Osun State.
Azeez Badmus, the Special Adviser overseeing the rollout, stated the launch marks the first phase of a broader digital inclusion strategy, promising expanded access to more sectors and communities in future phases.
