Hamas Appeals to Arab States and UN to Force Israel to End War on Them in Gaza and allow aid

According to Al Jazeera, Hamas has issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip, labeling the ongoing situation a “humanitarian catastrophe” caused by what they describe as the “criminal Zionist war machine.” In a statement released today, the organization accused Israel of committing “full-fledged acts of genocide” against the more than two million people residing in Gaza.
Hamas highlighted the “brutal massacres,” the “systematic use of starvation and thirst as a weapon,” and the “prevention of the entry of basic necessities of life” as evidence of severe violations of international law. The statement called upon the international community, Arab and Islamic nations, and human rights organizations to take immediate and effective measures to pressure Israel into lifting the blockade and ceasing its aggression.
The organization also echoed the urgent appeals from humanitarian organizations and UN rapporteurs, particularly UNRWA’s recent warnings about an impending catastrophic famine in the Gaza Strip. Hamas urged an immediate response to these warnings, emphasizing the dire need for essential supplies to reach the population.
In a call to action, Hamas declared the coming days as a period of “mobilisation and anger,” urging widespread popular activities to demand an end to the aggression against innocent civilians. They also called for holding Israeli leaders accountable for their alleged crimes against humanity in international courts.
The statement from Hamas underscores the escalating tensions and the deepening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, raising concerns about the potential for further conflict and suffering in the region.
