HE Nyesom Wike: The Dean of Quality Projects

No matter the gravity of his sins as they relate to politics, anybody with a purely conscientious mind can never continue to hate the former governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
Even with allegations of electoral irregularities in the 2023 general elections and the intense political rivalry with his successor, HE Dr. Siminalayi Fubara, over the control of Rivers State, the current minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, remains widely admired. His popularity transcends regional boundaries, earning him the affection of people across Nigeria and beyond.

Yes, the actively working minister exudes a unique charm that draws people to him. In spite of facing hate and criticism, the Ikwerre-born minister has a way of winning over his detractors and earning their admiration. For every thousand critics who hate him and his style of political maneuvering, there are millions more who appreciate his focus on infrastructure development and the positive impact it has on their lives.

Notwithstanding his strategic politicking, a style that has led some people to criticise his political approach as self-serving and unpredictable, the project-oriented former governor of the Treasure Base of the Nation has continued to demonstrate his genuine passion for good governance.
Certainly, HE Wike, who barely have a record of abandoned projects, has continued to make impactful projects to show that he is not called ‘Mr. Project’ for mere rhetoric, but rather for an enduring legacy.
Give it to him, the former acting minister of education’s pragmatic opportunism, strong-arm tactics, and complex relationships have proven to be a masterstroke in his political path. This, of course, portrays his cunning, adaptable, and unwavering determination to achieve his goals. Why not? Politics is all about a game of which the smartest wins, and the FCT minister has consistently showcased his ability to maneuver the ever complex web of Nigerian politics with ease!
Love him or hate him, Mr Project’s political prowess is a force to be reckoned with as far as the present systematic setting of Nigerian politics is concerned. His ability to stay relevant in the ever-changing terrain of Nigerian politics remains a proof to his intelligence and strategic thinking.
Beyond that, the two-term former governor’s passion for providing infrastructure is truly evident in his ongoing projects in Abuja. Since assuming office as the FCT minister, the actively working Mr. Project have been making pivotal progress on ongoing projects, most of which are nearly 98% completed and expected to be inaugurated within the next two months.
Some of those notable projects which are aimed as linking up the whole of FCT for easy and stress-free movements include: Bridge linking Jahi with Kubwa Road, Bridge linking Gishiri with Maitama and Jahi Road, Internal roads in Katampe, Road linking Life Camp with Jahi and Kubwa Road, among few others.

Naturally, HE Wike’s commitment to delivering high-quality projects on schedule remains impressive, and his focus on sustainable maintenance is a significant step towards ensuring these infrastructure projects continue to benefit the Abuja residents in the long run.
