The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the August 16th 2025 Anambra South Senatorial By-election, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu has pledged to put an end to the issue of political ‘business-as-usual,’ if given the mandate in contest.
Chief Nwachukwu maintained that he is going to the Red Chamber to offer nothing but authentic and impactful representation.

the Senatorial Candidate stated this while fielding questions from the members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council in Awka, on Thursday August 7th 2025.
The Telecommunications expert and former banker assured the people of Anambra South Senatorial Zone that no project started by Late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah would be abandoned.
The former President-General of Ukpor
noted that he joined partisan politics to make a difference and as well to partner Governor Soludo in bringing about development and stability in the state, especially the Anambra South Senatorial District.
The established Accountant and entrepreneur, with a merit title of Onodugo (Dignified Eagle) of Ukpor, stated that he has no intention of coming to be part of the stagnating pattern of politics, but to correctively swim against the corrupt current.
He identifies a lot of the diverse issues of challenge under the purview of the Senate within the Zone, to demonstrate his knowledge of what he is demanding to be allowed to battle with, parading his experience and capability needed for the tax ahead.
Chief Nwachukwu showed his vast exposure to the Nigerian socioeconomic heartbeat as it affects his zone, and his preparedness to introduce new ideas. He promised that there will be a timely review of his activities to ensure that the communities under the zone are carried along and their needs attended too.
The APGA Senatorial candidate also noted that there are lots of Federal Opportunities that will provide jobs for the people of the area. He Commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his leadership qualities and the level of infrastructural development he has brought to all the communities in the state.
Earlier the Chairman of NUJ in Anambra, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD, remarked that the media remained a veritable tool for people to take their message directly to the grassroots across the state.
Dr. Odogwu encouraged journalists to always adhere to the ethics of the profession by being upright and unbiased in their reportage of events.
