Idemili South Mayor Urge Women To Embrace Agricultural Practice

The Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi has called on women to embrace the agricultural practice of cultivating healthy living garden at their different homes to cushion the effect of economic hardship.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the Mayor made the call after
harvesting the first set of vegetables she cultivated herself barely one month ago at
healthy living garden, Ojoto.
Hon. Obi commended Anambra First Lady, Dr. Mrs Nonye Soludo for the initiative and urged women in the council area to emulate her example by having family garden.
She expressed her gratitude for the rapid germination of the vegetables, noting that Mrs Soludo has laid example for other women in the state to emulate.
The LGA boss added that the primary aim of the initiative was to reduce hunger, and it didn’t exempt our men, stating that when we have food and vegetables in abundance, the prices of these commodities will naturally be reduced in the market.
