JAMB releases 2025 UTME results, withholds 39,834 over malpractices

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has finally announced the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
Also, the examination board disclosed that it has placed the results of 39,834 candidates on hold due to suspected examination malpractice.
More than 1.9 million candidates took part in this year’s UTME, according to the examination body.
However, during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, confirmed that 80 individuals are currently being investigated nationwide in connection with exam-related offenses, with Anambra State accounting for 14 of the suspects.
He added: “467 underage candidates met the prescribed minimum score,” adding that “50 were engaged in cheating scandal.”
