Journo reveals Man City & Spurs interest in Man Utd target Tyler Dibling

Manchester United are reportedly trailing behind their rivals in the race for Southampton teenager Tyler Dibling.
Despite the Saints’ abysmal campaign and their inevitable return to the Championship, the teenager still made a big splash in his maiden Premier League campaign. The winger has already earned comparisons with some of his more famous countrymen, like Jack Grealish and Cole Palmer, and has also attracted the interest of almost every top club in England.
In recent days, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Man Utd are one of Dibling’s staunchest admirers. The transfer market insider reveals the Red Devils have already sent their scouts to monitor the 19-year-old.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise given how the youngster had produced a solid showing at the start of the campaign (on September 14th). While Southampton suffered a 0-3 defeat at St. Mary at the hands of Erik ten Hag’s band, the official Premier League website recalled how Dibling ‘troubled’ Diogo Dalot on several occasions during the contest. The Portuguese was playing at left-back on that occasion.

However, Sky Sport DE journalist Florian Plettenberg has some unpleasant news for the Reds, as he identifies their rivals Manchester City and Tottenham as the teenager’s most likely destination, while leaving the door open for a transfer to Germany.
“Understand Manchester City and Tottenham are currently the two Premier League clubs showing the most concrete interest in Tyler Dibling,” posted the German journalist on his X account.
“From the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig are still pushing for the 19-year-old top talent – and they have a chance. [Bayern Munich directors] Max Eberl and Christoph Freund hold a very positive opinion of Dibling and are also keeping an eye on him. However, FC Bayern have yet to make contact with the player’s camp.”
Dibling made 30 appearances in all competitions this season. He contributed with four goals and two assists. His contract with the Saints is valid until June 2027.
