Jude Okoye Breaks Silence: “They Left for Freedom, Now Blame Me for Their Fall”

Music executive and elder brother to iconic music duo PSquare, Jude Okoye, has finally opened up about long-standing grievances and accusations leveled against him by former associates. In a strongly worded Instagram post, Jude addressed what he described as a recurring pattern among those who once thrived under his mentorship and platform.

According to Okoye, those individuals—whom he did not name—enjoyed fame, influence, and financial success while working under his guidance, only to abandon ship in the pursuit of “freedom” and independence. He accused them of biting the hand that fed them and then playing the victim when success waned.

“They bragged about their ‘new found freedom’ and ‘making it all on their own,’” Jude wrote. “Years down the line, they fell off the wagon and became broke… now pointing fingers at the same person they left for their ‘freedom.’”

The Northside Inc. boss claimed that despite their narrative of independence, these individuals now allege wrongdoing without presenting clear facts or evidence. He likened their behavior to selling goods and demanding them back without a refund.

“Steady spinning sentiments and emotions to see if I can be blackmailed into submission,” he said, adding that he refuses to be intimidated by what he described as “cheap blackmail.”

Jude further revealed that these unnamed persons allegedly attached his name to fabricated money laundering and fraud charges in a failed attempt to get him jailed and force compliance. However, he claims to have endured the ordeal for two months without yielding.

“They concocted and fabricated lies… to get me jailed in order for me to break down. But to their surprise, I sat it out,” he stated defiantly.

Okoye concluded his post by addressing those questioning his role in the fallout, urging critics to ask the accusers what specific wrong he did that led to their downfall.

While the post stops short of directly naming anyone, social media users have begun speculating about past public spats involving artists previously affiliated with him—particularly amid the highly publicized PSquare split and the controversies surrounding Cynthia Morgan.

As of press time, no official responses have been made by any of the parties speculated to be involved.
