Kemi Badenoch Slams UK Recognition of Palestine as “Absolutely Disastrous”

Leader of the UK Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, sharply criticised the UK government’s recognition of the State of Palestine, calling the decision “absolutely disastrous.” She warned that it rewards terrorism and fails to address the plight of hostages in Gaza.
In a post on X, Badenoch said there were “no conditions whatsoever put in place for Hamas,” and that the recognition “leaves hostages languishing in Gaza and does nothing to stop the suffering of innocent people caught in this war.”
She also accused Prime Minister Keir Starmer of ignoring critical domestic issues, such as the National Health Service (NHS), immigration, and job creation, in favour of symbolic foreign policy moves that she termed pandering to the hard left.
