Man United star Casemiro praised for Manchester derby performance

Manchester United and Manchester City have played a dull first half at Old Trafford.
More than the Manchester derby, it is looking like a pre-season friendly between both the team, or a testimonial match for Kevin De Bruyne.
Lack of a proper striker in both the teams is visible and that has resulted in the failure of both teams not scoring thus far.
There are still some impressive performances from Man United players, particularly in the midfield.
Bruno Fernandes has enjoyed freedom in the middle of the park and he has spread the ball beautifully to his teammates, although they have done nothing useful with that.
Casemiro has been another player who has been solid in the midfield for United and he has dealt well with the threat of Man City midfielders.
Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy has praised the Brazilian midfielder for his performance at Old Trafford in the first half against Man City.
Reddy said:
“City are finding plenty of discomfort in dealing with Garnacho’s quick feet and directness but United are struggling to turn pressure into end product.
“Amorim said United needed fight from his players if they were to stand a chance of ousting City, he has been applauding their strength in the duels and willingness to battle for second balls.
“Casemiro is having a tidy game thus far.”
Man United need more threat in attack

The Brazilian midfielder has looked comfortable in the midfield today and the pace of the game has suited him.
With Man City playing without a proper number nine and flooding the attacking positions with midfielders, Casemiro has found it comfortable to deal with their threat.
Hopefully more of the same in the second half from the former Real Madrid man.
As far as attackers are concerned, the decision making needs to be better around the Man City box.
