Man United ‘very close’ to Cunha, keen to sign Ederson

Fabrizio Romano expects Matheus Cunha to join Manchester United, but he might not be the only Brazilian to arrive in Carrington next summer.
At this stage, almost every top source in the football media agrees that the Red Devils are in advanced negotiations to land the 25-year-old versatile attacker.
The Red Devils have identified Cunha as the ideal profile to cover the Number 10 role alongside Amad Diallo in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
The former Atletico Madrid star has been enjoying a sensational campaign at the Molineux, at least on a personal level. He scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 28 Premier League appearances thus far.
In his latest video update on his official YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Cunha is ‘very close’ to reaching a full agreement with United over a transfer. Afterwards, the Reds would either have to strike an accord with Wolves, or simply activate his release clause by paying £62.5 million.
Man United closing in on Cunha, seek Ederson deal

Moreover, the Italian journalist provided updates on Atalanta’s Ederson, a 25-year-old midfielder dubbed as the ‘New Casemiro’.
Romano revealed that Man Utd consider the Brazilian as the ‘perfect candidate’ to bolster Amorim’s midfield department.
The former Salernitana star is a well-rounded player who excels in several functions in the middle of the park. He has a natural knack for winning back possession, and is also capable of driving the ball forward and participating in the build-up.
However, Romano warns that Atalanta president Antonio Percassi is one of the most stubborn patrons in negotiations, so putting €40-45 million on the table won’t be enough, as he’ll only sanction the departure of one of his most prized assets for considerably higher figures.
Ederson is also being linked with Manchester City, but United are seemingly more keen at this stage.
