NFF, Anambra FA Pay Tribute To Late Ifeanyi Ubah, One Year After His Demise

The Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) under the leadership of Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have paid tributes to the late Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, a year after his demise.
In a message by Chief Iloenyosi on Saturday, 26th July, 2025 at his base in Abuja, the ANSFA Boss lamented the loss of Late Ubah stating that since his demise, Anambra lost a great icon in all spheres of human endeavour especially in the sporting circus.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
late Ubah represented Anambra South Senatorial Zone at the National Assembly where he made significant impact in football through FC Ifeanyi Ubah; One Family One Footballer project and numerous moral, financial support to the national teams and other football programs in the nation.
Chief Iloenyosi fondly known as the ‘The General’ stated that Sen. Ubah was more than a lawmaker but an entrepreneur par excellence, grassroots mobilizer, a philanthropist and a true voice of the marginalized.
The ANSFA Boss affirmed that although late Ubah has gone to the great beyond, his ideas still resonates and remains evergreen.
The football administrator averred that this solemn anniversary is a period of sober reflection and a time to reflect the life we live and always strive for unity, togetherness and love for mankind.
He prayed for the continuous repose of Senate Ubah’s soul.
“It’s been one year since we lost a friend and brother late senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
“Everyday, I remember the pillar himself. Late senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a man loved by many.
“While I know nothing can alleviate his loss, we will keep remembering him for the love he had for football and his people.
“Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a wonderful and loving soul who we were blessed to have known”.
“The Nigerian Football Federation will continue to mourn his demise, because Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a man who left his mark on every sector he played a part in.
“He was a man driven by passion as the story of Anambra football won’t be complete without him as he did his part diligently as the FA Chairman and also as the proprietor of the defunct FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
“He invested heavily in football thereby giving an option to many youths especially those of Anambra extraction,”
“Just like yesterday, It’s been one year already since we lost you to the cold hands of death. I pray that his soul Comtinue to find rest in the bossom the lord”.
