Comedian DeeOne has successfully attempted the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous stand-up comedy performance, organizers confirmed Saturday.
He entertained audiences with over 40 hours of comedy, surpassing the previous record. In his acceptance, DeeOne said: “This is not just for me, it is for every Nigerian comedian who dreams big.”
The feat took place in Lagos, with live streaming and official witnesses documenting the performance. The record attempt drew attention to the growing global recognition of Nigeria’s comedy scene.
Guinness World Records is expected to validate the submission after reviewing video evidence and official logs, which may take weeks.
