Nigeria’s Leadership Selection Process Needs Proper “Hygiene” Br Prince Crispus Amarabhi Ovoh Jr.

As we approach the next election cycle in Nigeria, I want to emphasize the urgent need for what I term “hygiene” in our leadership selection process. The time has come for Nigerians to apply a mental framework of cleanliness and integrity to the individuals we choose to lead our great nation.
Reflecting on our past, particularly the year 2015, we recall a time when Nigeria stood on the brink of greatness. Global economic experts, including those from Western nations, recognized our growth and potential.
However, our progress has been stalled—trapped in a quagmire created by divisive religious and regional ideologies, which have perpetuated challenges rather than solutions.
The very sectors of educated citizens, who should be our guiding light, too often become unwitting participants in this reverse mission, dragging our economy down due to inadequate leadership and poor governance practices.
Today, I urge all Nigerians to focus on selecting the right leaders—individuals equipped with the intelligence and integrity necessary to navigate the complexities ahead.
It is vital for us to advance towards a brighter future by aligning with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a party dedicated to fostering an environment where our economic potential can be realized without the obstacles currently in place under the (mis)leadership of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
We must not allow ourselves to be swayed by misleading statistics touted by those who seek to deceive us while the populace is plagued by hunger and insecurity.
Nigerians, it is time to awaken to the reality of our situation and recognize the future laid out by the ADC. We are here to connect with you through our grassroots initiative, the People’s Power Partnership Units, which aims to unify and empower every citizen.
The upcoming 2027 elections will present us with a critical choice: evil versus progress. This choice is not just about politics; it is about the future we want for our children and the hope we can instill in our society.
To my fellow leaders, I offer this advice: politics requires sacrifice, unity, and a commitment to giving the Nigerian people hope through effective mobilization. Let us rise to the occasion and foster a political landscape that embodies these principles.
Together, let us reclaim our nation’s greatness.
