No judge can assume duties of President of the United States - Trump fumes

The United States President, Donald Trump, has declared that no judge has the power to assume the duties of the United States President.

President Trump made the declaration on Friday via a post on his official Truth Social account.

According to Trump, any move by any judge to assume such duties can only result in chaos and crimes.

He wrote,

“No District Court Judge, or any Judge, can assume the duties of the President of the United States. Only Crime and Chaos would result. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN”!

We reported that though the president didn’t give details of what transpired in the post, it may not be unconnected to a series of conflicts in part of the country’s judiciary.

Since President Trump returned to the White House in January 2025, there has been a series of disagreements between his team and some federal judges.
