To ensure a smooth and secure examination process, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed officers to all accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in Anambra State.

Specifically, this action precedes the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which begins on April 24.

According to Edwin Okadigbo, Head of Media and Tactical Operations for Anambra NSCDC, the corps will secure all 33 CBT centres in the state.

Notably, the directive came from the state commandant, Olatunde Maku, who prioritizes candidate safety.

Moreover, the deployment aims to prevent disruptions and maintain order during the exams.

During a briefing at the State Command Headquarters in Awka, Maku addressed area commanders, divisional officers, and key personnel.

He emphasized that their primary duty is to uphold security and examination integrity.

Additionally, officers must protect critical infrastructure, restrict unauthorized access, and enforce examination rules strictly.

Personnel must report to their assigned centres before 6 a.m. daily.

Their tasks include screening candidates for banned items and ensuring a peaceful testing environment.

Furthermore, Maku stressed compliance with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) guidelines. He also urged officers to remain professional throughout the exercise.

Maku issued a strong warning against loitering near CBT centres by unauthorized persons.

Similarly, he reminded candidates to avoid bringing prohibited items.

The command vowed to arrest and prosecute violators, reinforcing its zero-tolerance policy towards malpractice.

By taking these proactive measures, the NSCDC demonstrates its commitment to a seamless examination process.

Ultimately, this initiative highlights the corps’ dedication to supporting education in Anambra State.
