NYSC Anambra Holds Sensitisation for Relocated Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State has held a one-day sensitisation programme for 2025 Batch A relocated Corps members,

the event also had nursing and pregnant married female Corps members who were not present during the orientation camp in attendance
The event, themed “Navigating a Unique Journey with Discipline, Dedication and Community Impact in Anambra State”, took place simultaneously across the four zonal structures of the state, Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Aguata zones as part of efforts to ensure a successful and impactful service year for the newly integrated members.
In Awka Zone, the sensitisation was held at the Awka South Local Government Hall and was presided over by the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua.
In her keynote address, Ojisua charged the Corps members to uphold the highest standards of discipline, dedication, and civic responsibility, in line with the objectives of the NYSC scheme.
The cordinator stressed the importance of abiding by the rules, regulations, and values of the NYSC, noting that doing so would pave the way for a rewarding and impactful service year.
She elaborated on key topics including channels of official communication, proper use of the NYSC uniform, responsible social media use, conduct and decorum, mental health awareness, security consciousness, as well as expectations concerning Community Development Service (CDS), Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), honours and awards, and disciplinary procedures.
The sensitisation programme provided a platform for Corps members to seek clarifications on NYSC policies and share their concerns, especially regarding reintegration into their new communities of primary assignment.
Participants expressed appreciation to the NYSC management for organising the programme, describing it as timely, enlightening, and essential for their orientation into the service structure in Anambra.
