Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade has extended its demolition exercise to Owerri road in Onitsha.
Speaking to newsmen, the Managing Director of the Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere warned the traders against returning to government restricted areas for their daily businesses and assured that the state government will not relent in ensuring orderliness and sanity, especially in the markets.
Anere revealed that traders around Owerri Road were seen trading on the drainages and on the street which leads to the heavy traffic around the axis and Upper Iweka.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that OCHA Brigade has covered Igbariam, Awkuzu, and Ogbunike axes of Enugu-Onitsha Expressway and New Parts, Nkpor where series of warning and notices were issued on the occupants but fell on deaf ears.
The demolition tagged “operation clear all shanties” brings it to day five of the exercise.
