Dear Governor,
I write to you out of a need driven by humanity. I write in support of Barr. Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe, as a test for your popularity and foundation for the coming governorship election. Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe carries the flag of APGA- your flag and on your back, she rides to victory.
But it appears the opposition has not learned a lesson. Although they are merchants of words, it’s still important to bring to your notice their recent psychological war.
The oppositions’, on behalf of their candidates for the Onitsha North Constituency 1 bye-election boasted that the constituency election will be a litmus test for the governorship election. They further said they would win the Onitsha North Constituency 1 bye election to make a statement of intent. By this claim- that Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe cannot ride on your back to victory. And also to use the bye election and convince the people of Anambra State that come October, APGA will not win Anambra State.
Even though it’s a psychological warfare, i got a bit skeptical when I read the statement, because APGA fielded the best human being among the candidates in the bye election. APGA enjoys the support of the people. APGA has done well in Anambra State with the historic record of zero borrowing. The state under your leadership has done everything and more than the past governors did without borrowing a dime.
Then what gave the Anambra State oppositions’ the courage or impetus to make such a statement, where will their victory come from, and what scorecard will opposition candidates in Anambra State present to the people of the state?
Some opposition members told me they control the federal government, but was it not this same federal government in the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was hosted by APGA, and the president raised the hand of the APGA governor and declared support for APGA in Anambra State?
My skepticism is not because the statement is rational, but because when a fowl threatens to bite in the morning, it’s important to first check if it grew teeth in the night.
If President Bola Ahmed Tinubu endorsed APGA under you, where then is the opposition coming from?
Here comes Onitsha North Constituency 1; the APGA primary election brought Barr. Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe, a philanthropist, defender of justice, resort of the unjustly incarcerated, and champion of a sound justice system. She is challenged by other candidates who barely have anything to show.
I listened to oppositions’ leadership during their campaign in Onitsha, where misogyny was the order of the day. Such an outdated campaign and strategy. Due to they are inconsequential, you might have missed it.
When I see Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe, I see Dora Akunyili, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Margaret Ekpo, Oby Ezekwesili, etcetera. These women made differences in their respective arenas, and Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe is the new generation. We rely on you to build the new generation of great women starting with her.
I have assessed and reassessed the candidates other parties selected against Barr. Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe and came to the conclusion that there is no threat. In education, she supersedes. In connecting the needed dividend of democracy to constituents, she supersedes. In leadership traits, she supersedes. In social and cultural themes, she supersedes. In personal scorecards, she supersedes. In private-public service and public value ratings, she supersedes. Where does any of the candidates compare to her?
Despite the gaps, I am still worried because the statements from the oppositions’ shouldn’t be taken for granted. If they are taken for granted, it could lead to the odd and illegal way of executing an election.
From experience, when a candidate lacks credibility or firepower, he resorts to boasting, and if not watched closely, the candidate resorts to violence and rigging.
Will the opposition buy the election? Will they steal the election? Will they cause violence to take advantage of it?
Governor Chukwuma Soludo, please, give priority attention to this bye-election and use it to make a statement of the fact that APGA is in control. All and sundry must admit the fact that Anambra is APGA and there is no challenge.
While ensuring that Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe wins the election by curtailing the negative plans of the opposition, who have been technically beaten, you also make a statement regarding the upcoming governorship election.
Once Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe of APGA wins the election this month, the oppositions’ eat their words, and her victory further convinces Anambra people that barking dogs don’t bite.
Finally, the people have chosen Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe, but your priority attention to the election will ensure peace, law, and order.
APGA is braced for the election, and hence the oppositions’ have said they would win APGA in Onitsha North Constituency 1 to make a statement that APGA cannot win the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election. The dice is cast, and APGA under your leadership should pass a clear message.
I have not met Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe before. I have never received any financial support. I have not even reached any agreement whatsoever. I am only doing a humanitarian job; the people need Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe because she has been a wonderful woman to Nigerians.
I am a witness to a family man who was unjustly incarcerated and billed millions of naira for his case to be handled. The man and his family lost hope until they came in contact with Mimiy Ifeoma Azikiwe. She saved the family from destruction without a dime, and she has saved dozens more.
I am compelled to talk about this woman because she is a gift to humanity. His Excellency, your party has given us Mimiy. Ifeoma Azikiwe, I beseech you to see to the confirmation of our happiness.
