Only Bruno Fernandes & three other Man Utd stars considered ‘unsellable’

Manchester United have reportedly identified four players as ‘untouchables’, including Bruno Fernandes, while everyone else’s futures are up in the air.

The Red Devils currently reside 15th in the Premier League table with only three rounds left in the campaign. Needless to say, the club wants to put this miserable season behind them as soon as possible.

The EPL giants will be keen to secure Champions League football by clinching the Europa League trophy, but Ruben Amorim and Harry Maguire have both insisted this piece of silverware won’t be enough to salvage what has been a disastrous campaign, albeit it would be a major financial boost ahead of a busy transfer summer.

As one could expect at the end of a calamitous campaign, the club will be looking to ring the changes to avoid replicating the same horrific outcome. Moreover, the team’s tactical shift from Erik ten Hag’s 4-2-3-1 formation to Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system warrants a squad overhaul.

Therefore, a host of players are expected to leave Carrington in the summer, beginning with Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans who are running on expiring contracts.

Moreover, several others could be sold for the right offer, including Casemiro and Alejandro Garnacho.

But according to the Daily Star, INEOS have pinpointed four players as ‘unsellable’, beginning with club captain Bruno Fernandes.

Bruno Fernandes set to stay at Man United

Many believe that the Portuguese’s exploits this season (including 19 goals and 18 assists) kept the Reds afloat. In other words, the club may have been involved in an actual relegation dogfight without him.

In addition to the skipper, Amad Diallo was also decisive on several occasions prior to his injury in February, especially in the Manchester Derby. So he’s also not going anywhere.

The source also names the club’s defensive stalwart Harry Maguire, and January signing Patrick Dorgu as the other two ‘untouchable’ stars.

Obviously, this doesn’t mean that every other member of the first team will be sold, but they could be offloaded for the right price.
