The Local Government Chairman of Njikoka, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba has distributed 60,000 hybrid plantain suckers, 80,000 organic fertilizers, 20 bags of sesame seeds, and 20 bags of soya beans across the 18 wards.
In his remark, Ononiba said the initiative aims to promote food security, enhance local farming, and empower farmers with high-yield and eco-friendly resources.
The Mayor emphasized his administration’s commitment in making agriculture the backbone of Njikoka’s economy by providing farmers with the necessary tools and resources.
He maintained that the local government seeks to boost productivity and generate economic benefits throughout the communities.
