Pa Dominic Njoku marks 70th birthday, friends, children, grandchildren celebrate

An Imo State born Catholic elder statesman, Pa Dominic Njoku, known for his foremost dedication to Catholicism has marked his 70th birthday in Umuahia, the capital city of Abia State on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

He is the father of a vociferous and frontline human rights activist, media practitioner and author, Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku.

While speaking during a thanksgiving mass at St. Theresa Catholic Parish, Olokoro, Umuahia Abia State, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Kalu, described the celebrant as a man of dedication and divine passion in things of spiritual growth, stressing that Pa Dominic is a child of God and a passionate friend of the church and the needy.

The Trinity Pius members of his group in the church described him as an uncommon servant of God and kind-hearted.

The Parish priest who prayed and blessed the celebrant, revealed amidst the large Catholic congregants that every Catholic should emulate the zealousness of Pa Dominic Njoku in things of God, stressing that when everyone manifests their hunger to serve God uniquely with positive mindset to service and humanity, God rewards such devotion with blessings, good health and longer age.

Flanked by his wife, children, grandchildren, inlaws and friends who danced to lovely music, heartily celebrated and wished him a happy birthday and many more years in return, Mr. Njoku, admonished that faithfulness in the Eucharistic devotion in prayers and forgiveness, gives abundant grace to fortunes, long age and good health.

He lamented that it is unscriptural for Christians to pray against perceived enemies rather than praying for them to repent and changed a new life to the glory of God.
