The Manchester derby ended 0-0 at Old Trafford and Pep Guardiola was particularly unhappy about one thing.

It was a dull affair between both the teams who lacked creativity and cutting edge in the final third.

Even though Ruben Amorim would be the happier of the two managers after his team’s performances, there was nothing he could be proud of after his players failed to beat a weak Manchester City side.

Guardiola was critical of Man United fans for what they chanted at Phil Foden during the match.

Just when Foden was getting substituted, Man United fans started chanting against his mum.

It looked out of order and even though Foden plays for the club’s biggest rivals, they should not have done that.

Guardiola was critical of the United fans after the match. He said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano:

“Chants against Phil Foden? Lack of class. I don’t understand the mind of the people involving the mum of Phil”.

“It’s a lack of integrity, class, and they should be ashamed”.

It is never a good look when fans go below the belt with their chants. While some may call it banter but there is always a line that should not be crossed.

It was just a small section of the fans and Guardiola stated that it has nothing to do with the club but with just some people.

These incidents have happened a lot in derbies where fans have used other ways to vent out their frustration when their team has not played well.
