Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, acting on credible intelligence, stormed Aguleri and arrested four suspected members of a criminal gang allegedly involved in armed robbery and kidnapping in the area.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that the suspects all males between the ages of 22 and 40 years include: Uchenna Aniegboka, Sunday Nwakalor, Chukwuebuka Aniegbunam and Onyebuchi Udemba.
In a press release SP. Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer,
Anambra State Command, stated that
during the Operations, One pump action gun and one black Toyota Camry car with registration. No. SMK 835 FC were recovered.
“The Case shall be charged to court on the conclusion of the investigations’. Ikenga stated.
To this end, while the suspects are still undergoing interrogation, the Commissioner of Police, CP. Ikioye Orutugu, reaffirms the Command’s commitment to ensuring that criminal elements have no hiding place in the State. He further urged members of the public to continue to provide timely information to the Police to aid in the fight against crime.
