Report: Chelsea make final decision over Jadon Sancho returning to Manchester United

Chelsea have no intention of terminating Jadon Sancho’s loan deal early, despite having a clause that could allow them to return him to Manchester United as reported by CaughtOffside.
Since joining the Blues, the 24-year-old winger has struggled to make a significant impact, recording just two goals and six assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.
While he has shown flashes of brilliance, his performances have not been particularly outstanding.
As part of the loan agreement, Chelsea are obligated to make Sancho’s move permanent if they finish above 15th in the Premier League, a condition they will comfortably meet under manager Enzo Maresca.
However, no long-term contract was agreed upon before his arrival, meaning fresh negotiations are required to finalize the transfer.
There had been speculation that Chelsea might reconsider signing him permanently, but journalist Ben Jacobs reports that backing out would come with financial consequences.
If the club were to return Sancho to Old Trafford, they would have to reimburse United for all wages covered during the loan, along with additional costs.
Instead, Chelsea are expected to proceed with securing Sancho’s permanent transfer, with the final fee potentially reaching €30 million, depending on their league position.
Jacob stated that Chelsea remain satisfied with the winger’s contribution so far, adding that it would be a “surprise” if they decided to abandon the deal.
With Chelsea pushing ahead with their plans, Sancho is likely to continue at Stamford Bridge, despite not having fully lived up to expectations.
