School Resumes Across Anambra As ASUBEB Chairman Monitors Resumption

As schools resume, the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB Chairman; Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, visits schools in Oyi and Onitsha North Council Areas.

In her remark, Dr. Nwadinobi, who said that the turnout of pupils were not impressive, emphasized that “resumption test” is part of academic grading, urging parents and guardians to release their children for school.

The ASUBEB Chairman, commended teachers for resuming promptly for the academic session.

Dr. Nwadinobi appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for building a secondary school at Akpaka to help those within the area access free secondary education, unlike what was obtainable, saying that everything has been put in place for a successful session.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that at Hill Top Primary School, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, pupils were seen cleaning their classrooms, while at Akpaka Community School, Onitsha, pupils were seen already taking lessons and other academic activities going on fully.

In her address, the Education Secretary for Onitsha North Council Area, Mrs Fidelia Ifionu, noted that school resumption in the area has been smooth so far, and that meeting for teachers and school heads were held before resumption to ensure a seamless session.

Mrs. Ifionu commended Soludo for starting a secondary school at Akpaka.

ANN observed that within Awka and environs, as well as other parts of Anambra State, pupils and students have fully resumed school and academic activities ongoing in full swing.
