Soludo Pledges Governorship Seat to Anambra Central After His Tenure

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has declared that when his tenure ends, he will hand over the governorship to someone from the Anambra Central senatorial district. He said this during an endorsement rally for his reelection and in celebration of Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezim’s return to APGA in Idemili North.

Soludo emphasized that the zoning of the governor’s office among the three senatorial zones—North, South, and Central—has become an established practice in the state. He noted that after Anambra North and Anambra South, the seat should naturally move to Anambra Central.

Speaking to supporters, he reaffirmed APGA’s identity with Anambra and expressed confidence in sweeping victory in the November 8 election, particularly urging Idemili North—an area with big voter numbers but low turnout—to engage more actively.
