Singer Tiwa Savage has addressed lingering rumors linking her romantically with Wizkid and clarified the nature of her dispute with Davido in a recent interview.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Savage said the feud with Davido started after she posted a photo with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, which he misinterpreted. “He felt like I knew what was happening and was on her side — but that’s not the case,” she insisted.
Savage also rejected rumors of any romantic involvement with Wizkid: “Shout out to Wizkid. I love Wizkid. I respect Wizkid. It’s not about him.” She further admitted having been in a past “embarrassing” secret relationship that affected her confidence.
She confirmed making a police petition against Davido, saying threats she perceived led her to act cautiously. “I reached out to members of his family before I did anything … I just wanted to ensure safety for everyone involved.”
