# Governor Chukwuma Soludo in commemoration of his 65th birthday,
visited a psychiatric facility in Nawfia, Onitsha Correctional Centre, St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital, Onitsha and Iyienu Hospital, Ogidi.
Soludo upon arrival at Psychiatric Hospital in the heart of Nawfia, was greeted by staff and patients alike, with many expressing their gratitude for his presence.
He called on the people, especially the youth, to be mindful what they consume, for the sake of their mental health.
The Governor took time to engage patients in heartfelt conversations, bringing smiles to their faces. He emphasized the importance of mental health awareness, stating, “Mental health is just as important as physical health.
During the visit, the Governor announced the ongoing construction of a mental rehabilitation facility in Nibo. He also pledged support for the Nawfia facility.
# Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 8th governorship election has said that Anambra citizens can not continue to live in fear over what he saw as prevailing atmosphere of insecurity in the entire state.
Ukachukwu who made the statement while speaking with journalists in Awka shortly after a townhall meeting with former political appointees, maintained that the governor has failed woefully in his first constitutional assignment which he said is the protection of lives and property of the citizenry.
He said enough is enough and that the governor must leave on November 8th this year.
# The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Bar. Sly Ezeokenwa, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
Ezeokenwa in his congratulatory message signed by Dr. Tony Olisa Mbeki Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the National Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), described Soludo as a heaven-sent miracle to this generation, an intellectual colossus, a reform-minded leader, and a visionary statesman whose contributions continue to shape Anambra and redefine leadership standards across Nigeria.
The APGA National Chairman praised Soludo’s sterling leadership, marked by sweeping reforms, infrastructural revolution, and innovative human capital development initiatives such as the One Youth, Two Skills programme. He added that Prof. Soludo’s administration has repositioned Anambra as a model of subnational governance, earning admiration even across party lines.
# 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has laid the foundation stone for boys hostel at Dominican Sisters’ College, Abatete in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
Performing the ceremony, the Former Governor of Anambra State Obi, thanked the Dominican Sisters for what they have been able to do in the college, Abatete and the state in general.
Obi recalled his previous supports to the institution at early stage of its existence, and called for support of other well-to-do individuals in assisting the school to grow from strength to strength.
He reminded the graduating, other students and young people in the society that education is the greatest asset they need to compete in the ever-changing world, and described investment in the future of the young ones as a sacred duty.
# Nwafor Orizu College of Education, NOCEN, through its School of Entrepreneurship and Digital Innovation, SEDI, and in partnership with Digital Hands Limited has held its second Annual Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference at the College Auditorium, Nsugbe.
The conference themed; “Positioning NOCEN as a globally-recognized institution through digital innovation and entrepreneurship” attracted the presence of thought leaders, innovators, educators and students who gathered to explore how digital tools and entrepreneurial strategies can advance institutional excellence and global visibility.
In her welcome speech, the Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, commended the organizers of the SEDI, describing it as a visionary initiative aimed at shaping a generation of disruptive thinkers.
In his remark the Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, represented by his Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation, Chinwe Okoli, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a digital tribe in the state, adding that the ‘One Million Anambra Digital Tribe’ project is aimed at providing free digital skills training to residents.
# The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze says Governor Chukwuma Soludo has proven to ndi Anambra and Nigerians at large that his primary purpose of coming into politics was to fast track development in Anambra State and provide a better life for the citizenry through impactful administration.

# Sustenance of Faith in Governance, SOFIG, a support group of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has endorsed and supported the governorship candidacy of Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu with the sum of one hundred and fifty million naira to enable him campaign and emerge victorious in the November eight Anambra election.
SOFIG members; about thirty-six thousand people who defected from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, to the APC with the aim of changing the negative aspects of governance in Anambra also celebrated six years of existence after hurdles they said they went through in APGA.
Appreciating the group for their support, the APC Governorship candidate, Prince Ukachukwu, noted that Anambra people are captains of industries, scholars and many more, but due to insecurity, all were on the run and shutting down their industries, saying that Ndi Anambra are disappointed with the security challenges they face and are clamoring for his service.
Ukachukwu promised a total change that will touch all sectors of the state economy if elected, and charged members of the group to embark on house to house, ward to ward and grass roots mobilization to sell his good news and intention to Ndi Anambra.
# Anambra State Government has arrested five illegal revenue collectors at Nkwelle-Ezunanka, Oyi LGA.
Parading the suspects in Awka, the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service Commander of Operations against illegal collection of revenues, Mr. Nathan Obikwelu, explained that the suspects were arrested while collecting money from motorists plying the Enugwu -Onutsha expressway.
Mr. Obikwelu further stated that the suspects, when approached, were parading a temporal private park permit given to them in 2023, which they are yet to satisfy its requirements, but went ahead to start defrauding motorists and Ndi Anambra, saying that they will be charged to court immediately.
The Commander, who extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all the support given to the agency, as well as the initiatives of the Chairman of the agency, Dr. Greg Ezeilo, warned people to stay off illegal revenue collection or face prosecution.
Two of the suspects, Mr. Chinedu Nnakeuzie and the other suspect who gave his name as Emmanuel, denied collecting revenue from anybody, and said that they were instead directing human and vehicular movements along the road.
