# The United Allied Aluminum Dealers and Technicians Association (UAADATA), Njikoka Chapter, led by their President General, Sir. Stanley Emeh paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Njikoka LGA Barr. Chinedu Ononiba, at the council headquarters.
The visit was aimed at showing solidarity and appreciation to the Mayor for the ongoing partnership and mutual support between the government and their association.
Sir Ichie Emeh described the Mayor as a listening and inclusive leader who has maintained open communication with organized groups and artisans across the local government.
In his remarks, Barr. Ononiba warmly welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed his commitment to empowering local tradesmen, artisans, and dealers, noting that such groups play a vital role in grassroots development, economic growth, and job creation. He assured them of continued collaboration to enhance opportunities and welfare for their members.
# A political support group, Solution Marshal has held a tactical meeting with the leadership of the All Progressive Ground Alliance (APGA), where they vowed to protect the votes of the electorate and the results at all the wards come November 8 Governorship election.
The tactical meeting with theme “Synergizing for victory” held at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, drew members of the group from wards and local government areas.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Boundary Adjustment, Mr. Kenechukwu Okoye and Barrister Ifeatu Obi-Okoye said that the essence of the group is strategic to protecting the decision of the electorate in the next election.
They insisted that it is past time when desperate politicians hijack and steal the decision of the people made through the ballot as such the meeting is to ensure the votes are protected.
# The 18 Ward Coordinators of Anambra Demand for Soludo (ADS), Njikoka Chapter, led by the Coordinator, Hon. Obiora Alexander Anene, has paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba, at the council headquarters in Abagana.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration and reaffirming their support for the Mayor and the good governance initiatives of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The team commended the Mayor for his leadership style, visible grassroots impact, and alignment with the vision of the Soludo administration, which they pledged to support Gov. Soludo’s second term.
In response, Ononiba appreciated the ADS coordinators for their solidarity and encouraged them to continue promoting the good works of the governor at the ward level. He emphasized that effective grassroots mobilization is key to deepening democratic dividends.
# The Mayor of Njikoka LGA, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba has paid an inspection visit to the Health Centre at Uruokwe Village, Enugwu-Ukwu.
The Mayor in his remark said the visit was aimed at assessing the state of the facility and identifying urgent areas for intervention.
Hon. Ononiba in expressed concern over the condition of some key areas in the health centre and promised to fix and upgrade critical facilities to enhance healthcare delivery in the community. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that residents, especially women and children, have access to quality healthcare at the grassroots level.
In a vote of thanks, Sir. Mark Onyemelukwe appreciated the Mayor’s prompt response and ongoing support to the health sector. He also urged the community to continue supporting government efforts toward building a healthier Njikoka.
# The Commissioner of Police, CP. Ikioye Orutugu has emphasized the significant role that substance abuse plays in fueling crime and has directed a major clampdown on all criminal activities in Oko and its environs.
The Police Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cultism Squad Enugwu Ukwu, burst a drug den in Oko, arrested six suspects and recovered a large quantity of various hard substances.
The suspects arrested include: Joseph Chukwura, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka, Ifeanyi Agbanari, Igwe Chineche, Mmadufor Chinecherem, Chibueze Chukwumankpam, and Mmadubom Uchenna, all males between the ages of 24 and 35 years respectively.
According to SP. Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, they are currently undergoing interrogations for necessary information, especially on the recent disturbing incident in Oko.
The Command believes that this initiative may help to nip in the bud the prevalence of criminal activities and expose more criminal networks in the area.
# The lawmaker representing Anaocha one Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Nkechi Ogbuefi has paid a visit to Drug Rehabilitation Center in Agulu.
Hon. Ogbuefi while speaking said the visit is part of activities marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, observed globally on June 26.
The lawmaker maintained that her visit was both a show of solidarity and a clarion call to action, stressing that the fight against drug abuse must include not just rehabilitation but also prevention and reintegration into the society.
She lamented over the growing number of drug-dependent individuals which has brought to the fore the urgent need for strong government presence, support, and intervention in addressing substance abuse and mental health challenges in the state.
# The Chairman of the Plywood Market in the Building Material Dealers Association, High Chief Chidi Mbagwu, popularly has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his ongoing efforts in transforming Anambra State.
Speaking on behalf of the plywood market section, Mbagwu praised the governor’s bold developmental strides and his commitment to the welfare of Ndi Anambra and market leaders across the state.
The plywood market leader also used the moment to draw attention to the deplorable state of the access road leading to their section of the market. He emphasized that lack of a motorable road has significantly affected patronage and business activities.
# The Mayor of Orumba South LGA, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike has successfully overseen the construction of 220-meter of erosion control project at Okukoro -Ajaekepe by Orie Nwaohadu- Ndikpa Umunze.
This vital intervention addresses a long-standing threat to the community, regenerating an area previously highly susceptible to severe erosion.
The newly completed erosion control measure is expected to provide much-needed protection for residents and their properties in Ndikpa- Umunze.
This region has historically faced significant challenges from gully erosion, leading to land loss, damage to infrastructure, and displacement of families.

Others who spoke during the event included, the Marshal Superior who is also Majority Leader of Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, the APGA Chairman for Anaocha LGA, Sir Anthony Ugorji, all advised Ndi Anambra to show proof of solidarity to the Governor by projecting, delivering and protecting their votes.
