* Governor Chukwuma Soludo, says all confiscated magic pots or Okeite, from native doctors in Anambra State will be subjected to forensic analysis to determine their make-up.

Soludo assured that anyone whose magic pot was found to contain traces of human blood would face severe consequences.

Speaking in Awka, the Governor condemned the role of fake native doctors in criminal activities, noting that thousands of Nigerian youths were languishing in prisons worldwide due to their influence.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has assured the people and neighbours of Nnewi South Local Government Area of swift intervention on the collapsed Ulasi Bridge that connected and served as gateway to Imo State, Okija, Orsumoghu, and other many other Anambra South communities through Ukpor.

Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma, led a government delegation to the site to assess the situation firsthand.

Okoma was received by key stakeholders from the area, including the Local Government Chairman of Nnewi South, Hon. Van George Ezeogodi and the Member representing Nnewi South two Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi, who jointly briefed him on the circumstances surrounding the project.

* As a way of deepening the message of the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to the grassroots, as well as stressing the need for all APGA’s members to arm themselves with Soludo Kindred Initiative Operational Manual,

The National Executive of APGA Solidarity Movement Worldwide (ASM) led by the National Convener, Hon Chief Ebere Okafor, KSJI, has inaugurated the Onitsha North Local Government Area executive.

Inaugurating the exco at Onitsha North Local Government Council’s Headquarters, the National Convener recalled that the Asaba, Delta State Chapter of APGA Solidarity Movement Worldwide was inaugurated recently, saying that Governor Soludo’s re-election remained the message, even as he asked the LG executive to take the message of APGA Solidarity Movement Worldwide to all corners of Onitsha North Local Government and beyond.

* The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 13, has ordered a thorough investigation into allegations of police involvement in a civil and land dispute, following a petition received by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

The petition, which was made public by the PSC through its Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, specifically accuses Inspector James, an officer attached to the Zonal Headquarters in Ukpo, of engaging in a land matter outside the professional scope of police duties.

In response, the Zone 13 Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the directives of the PSC, stressing that officers who defy orders and engage in civil disputes, in violation of professional ethics, do so at their own risk.

This development follows a prior warning issued by the PSC on February 22, 2025, condemning reported cases of human rights violations and police interference in civil disputes in Southeast states.

* An Umuawulu born Philanthropist and Founder, Ide Global Movement, High Chief Azubuike Ekweozor has endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for second term in office, describing his leadership style and achievements in the state within the three years of his administration as unprecedented and exceptional.

High Chief Ekweozor, an APGA stalwart in Awka South, made the endorsement at his country home, Umuawulu in Awka South Council Area, while speaking to the ABS on the Governor’s recent award of Sun Governor of the year 2024, and his achievements within the three years of his government in the state.

The Founder of Ide Global Movement, High Chief Ekweozor who noted that Governor Soludo is a Godsent to Anambra, listed the numerous achievements of his administration, ranging from infrastructure to human capital development, saying that the Governor’s achievements within the three years in office have surpassed achievements recorded by previous administrations throughout their regimes.

* The National Coordinator of the newly inaugurated State and LGA’s Executives of Solution Vanguard, an initiative of the Anambra State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Hon. Azubuike Okoye, has stated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has no known opposition in the next gubernatorial election in the state.

Hon Okoye, who is Member of the Local Government Service Commission and former President General of Agulu Community, made the observation while inaugurating the 21 Local Government Area executive members of the Solution Vanguard.

Addressing the gathering, the former member representing Anaocha one Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, enjoined the pioneer excos to drive the agenda down to their various localities, stating that they (State Exco of the LGSC) were closer to the grassroots and stood a better chance of communicating and interfacing with those at the rural areas, adding that the message was to ensure that the Solution got to all nooks and crannies of all the kindreds, villages and towns.

* The Chief Executive Officer of Tilova for Africa a Charity Foundation and Equal Rights group based in America, Mr. Martins Nwabueze said it will pay for services of lawyers who will defend the rights of native doctors arrested and detained by the Anambra State Government.

Mr. Nwabueze, said this while reacting to the arrest and detention of some native doctors by the state government as part of efforts to tackle insecurity.

The CEO while reacting to the clampdown on native doctors by the Anambra State Government, described the arrest and detention of persons on the basis of their religion or trade under the guise of fighting insecurity as unjust profiling.

The Activist said Nigeria was a secular state where everyone had rights to practice their religion or ply their trade without discrimination, intimidation, humiliation or scapegoating.

* Some clerics across the country have condemned the recent ban on preaching in public places in Anambra State, including markets, imposed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

International Secretary of the Ecumenical Synods of Bishops, Archbishops, Apostles, and Senior Clergy in London, Osazee Williams stated that the governor’s ban is an attack on the body of Christ.

He argued that restricting public preaching would negatively impact the people of the state.

Williams also expressed doubts about the governor’s fear of God as a Supreme Being. He emphasized that many people need to hear the word of God, and some will never attend church, making public preaching necessary.

* The Bishop on the Niger, Anglican Communion, Anambra State, the Rt Rev Dr Owen Nwokolo, has announced plans to take members of the diocese on Pilgrimage to Jerusalem this 2025.

Nwokolo assured that the diocese would like to give opportunity to anyone who would show interest and “can equally afford it”.

Bishop Nwokolo announced this during the collation of archdeacons and canons at the All Saints’ Cathedral, Onitsha.

He remarked that the forms to that effect would begin to be issued in a few weeks time, adding that the parishioners would be properly informed through their archdeacons in due course.

* The Anambra chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been boosted by new members who joined the party in Nnewi North, Local Government Area of the state

During the meeting of the APC ward one Nnewichi Nnewi, notable figures declared for the party, affirming that the APC is their preferred political party.

The meeting, which was held at the Obi Nnewichi Palace, was chaired by the APC Nnewichi Ward one chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Nnodu.

Other members of the ward and local government leaders were also in attendance, including Mr. Oliver Uzodimma.

Mr. Obiora Osigwe, a top figure in the community and a successful businessman in Nnewi, was received in the party and issued with his party membership card.
