While extending his heartfelt congratulations to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the resounding success of the presidential visit and the commissioning of legacy projects which includes Awka Fun City and the new Government House amongst others, Dr. Odimegwu appreciated President Tinubu for acknowledging that the state has huge gas reserves, noting that its omission from the National Gas Master Plan would be addressed and also his pledge to understake ecological investment in the state to tackle the gulley erosion menace
Dr Odimegwu expressed that President Tinubu’s visit and promises was as a result of Soludo’s visionary leadership, unwavering dedication to the progressive, transformative development, relentless pursuit and commitment in remodelling Anambra into a modern and livable state.

* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold and progressive leadership, describing his historic visit to Anambra State as a testament to the strength of federal-state cooperation and a shared commitment to grassroots-driven development.
Speaking at the high-profile event in Awka, Barrister Ezeokenwa warmly welcomed President Tinubu to the Light of the Nation and praised his readiness to support state-led initiatives that align with national development goals.
The APGA National Chairman was effusive in his praise of Governor Soludo, whom he described as “the pride of APGA, a transformational leader, and a man whose governance philosophy has redefined what purposeful leadership means in Nigeria.” According to him, under Soludo’s leadership, Anambra has become a reference point for innovative policies, people-oriented projects, and fiscal prudence.
* The Chairman of Ayamelum Local Government, Hon. Alphonsus Ofumelu has commended the managements of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) for a plan to recognize one of Ayamelum’s distinguished sons, Engr. Paul Okafor, with an award during the university’s upcoming 25th Anniversary and Combined Convocation Ceremony scheduled to starts on 17th May 2025.
Hon. Ofumelu used the opportunity to urge ndi Ayamelum to show their support by subscribing to the university’s commemorative brochure publication in honour of Engr. Okafor.
The Mayor emphasized that Engr. Okafor, a dedicated staff member of FERMA, has made significant contributions to the development of Ayamelum and Anambra at large.
* The Mayor of Njikoka LGA, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of His Royal Majesty, Igwe Patrick Mabaamalu Okeke, JP (KSJI), the esteemed traditional ruler of Abagana.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba described the demise of the monarch as a significant loss to the people of Abagana and the entire Njikoka community. He emphasized that Igwe Okeke’s wealth of knowledge, experience, and leadership were invaluable assets, especially during these challenging times.
The Mayor stated that HRM Igwe Patrick Mbaamalu Okeke JP (KSJI) was a beacon of wisdom and a custodian of our cherished traditions. His leadership and guidance have been instrumental in fostering unity and progress within Abagana and Njikoka. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The Mayor extended his deepest sympathies to the royal family, Ndi Abagana and Njikoka community, and all who mourn the loss of the revered monarch. He prayed for the Almighty God to grant HRM Igwe Patrick Mbaamalu Okeke JP (KSJI) Igwe Abagana’s soul eternal rest and to provide comfort and strength to those grieving this irreplaceable loss.
* During President Tinubu’s visit to Anambra State, Senator Victor Umeh, senator representing Anambra Central at the red chamber, made a bold appeal: “Releasing Nnamdi Kanu will be a true step toward proving to the Igbo people that Nigeria is one and united.”
“Omoyele Sowore and Sunday Igboho were arrested and charged for treasonable felony, and later pardoned and set free; why is Nnamdi Kanu still being detained in DSS custody?” Umeh asked.
* The Honourable member representing the good people of Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency, Hon. Gwacham Maureen Chinwe has described the wide acceptability of Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a lucid and consensus statement of no vacancy in Agu-Awka by Ndi-Anambra on November 8 this year.

Soludo has exceedingly done well in virtually all the sectors of Anambra economy from his massive road construction of over 7,000 kilometers of roads to the state of emergency on security through the establishment of the homeland security law and the subsequent constitution of Agunechemba security outfit to tackle insecurity, to the recruitment of health workers, free antenatal care for pregnant women, free child delivery, massive recruitment of over 5,000 school teachers across the state, turn around of Okpoko slum to a mega city, construction of a brand new governor’s lodge and government house, Solution mega city among others.
* President Bola Tinubu has commended Governor Soludo for his leadership and developmental strides.
Speaking during his visit in commissioning of several major projects executed by the Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s administration on Thursday, Tinubu used the occasion to speak candidly about the challenges his administration inherited, particularly unsustainable fuel subsidies, a chaotic forex regime, and dwindling public revenue.
The President also acknowledged the state’s marginalisation in the national rail plan and promised corrective steps, including integrating Anambra into the national gas infrastructure network.
On the environment, Tinubu described Anambra as “the gully erosion capital of the world” and assured of renewed federal efforts to tackle ecological degradation in the Southeast.
* CP Ikioye Orutugu has commended the Police and other Security agencies for their improved coordination and resilience in enhancing Safety in the State.
The CP’s commendation reflects his appreciation for the security agencies, also to ndi Anambra for their support/cooperation. He further affirmed that the State is safe having witnessed a hitch-free, well-attended dignitaries and Stakeholders’ weddings in Ihiala and hosting of President Bola Tinubu.
To this end, the Police Command believes that prioritizing security coordination and collaboration is a proactive approach to addressing security concerns and promoting a safer, more secure environment for all.
