Troops arrest Boko Haram logistics, drug couriers

 

Nigerian troops have arrested two suspects accused of supplying logistics and drugs to Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.

The suspects, Abba Wakil and Bunu Ali, both 18, were caught during stop-and-search operations along the Gamboru-Wulgo road as part of Operation Desert Sanity IV.

Items recovered from the suspects are, two jerricans of condemned engine oil and 100 pieces of quick patch, allegedly intended for terrorists in the area.

110 quantities of Cannabis Sativa was also recovered.

Both suspects are currently in military custody for further investigation.

The operation was carried out by troops of the 24 Task Force Brigade, working with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters. This arrest is part of the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
