Manchester United are among three English clubs ‘closely monitoring’ Bayer Leverkusen ace Patrik Schick.

Indeed, the Red Devils have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the race for Schick following another fine goalscoring campaign from the Czech international, which has seen him net 25 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions.

CaughtOffside claims that a fee in the region of £25.5-34 million would be enough for Leverkusen to part ways with one of their attacking talismans, with his future said to be ‘in doubt’ approaching the summer window.

A considerable drop-off from last season’s emphatic invincible title-winning campaign has likely left Leverkusen chiefs scratching their heads over how to return to such glories in 2025/2026.

This term, they dropped out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage after a 5-0 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich. They also failed to retain their status as Bundesliga champions and currently sit eight points behind the Bavarian winners.

Another daunting prospect on the horizon is that they’re poised to see Xabi Alonso cherry-picked by Real Madrid to succeed the departing Carlo Ancelotti this summer, so an overhaul across the board may be on the cards at the BayArena.

United can offer Schick his ‘dream’ PL move

In regard to United’s interest in Schick, they will enter the market next month in hopes of acquiring influential attacking talents. A centre-forward and No.10 are non-negotiables, while further additions will presumably depend on outgoings.

One source close to the 29-year-old revealed (via Vodacom Soccer) that the ‘phenomenal’ player is ‘ambitious’ and ‘wants to test himself at the highest level’. That coincides with Yahoo Sports’ suggestion that Schick is ‘dreaming of a move to the Premier League’ – and he has suitors waiting in the wings ready to table their proposals.
