Utd have directly told Osimhen he’s their ‘first option’

Victor Osimhen has a potentially career-defining decision to make this summer as to whether he should continue plying his trade in Europe or take the lucrative Saudi route.
He won’t be short of suitors either way, so it’s certainly up to him when the window opens and his representatives officially kickstart negotiations.
Osimhen was on the verge of completing a move to Al Ahli last year following a fiery fallout with Napoli boss Antonio Conte, which culminated with him being stripped of his number and exiled from their Serie A squad list. Then, when his Saudi Pro League switch collapsed in the final stages, he signed for Galatasaray on loan.
Unsurprisingly, his prolific goalscoring form has only continued in Turkey, where he has notched a hugely impressive 28 goals and five assists in 32 appearances.
Nigerian journalist makes major Osimhen claim

Such stellar form will have Galatasaray desperate to make him a permanent signing when the campaign draws to a close. However, there was no buy option included in his loan terms, and it’s unlikely they’ll be able to match whatever price tag Napoli set, along with the player’s wage demands.
Those monitoring his situation in the Premier League will, though – and Manchester United are firmly among the mix. In fact, one journalist based in Osimhen’s native Nigeria took to X/Twitter on Friday to reveal the striker has been informed he’s INEOS’ No.1 target to occupy the position.
“No official offers but Manchester United made it clear to Victor Osimhen that he’s their first option. Same with one club from Spain. They have been heavily pushing for months now,” says Buchi Laba, who’s followed by Osimhen’s official account on the platform.
“The other clubs mentioned (Barcelona, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain) all enquired.”
The 26-year-old is contracted to Napoli until 2027 after signing a one-year extension before his departure to Istanbul.
