Uzodinma canvases support for Tinubu’s reforms

…..as cream of Imo society joins him for Easter
The cream of Imo society on Sunday converged on Omuma as they joined Governor Hope Uzodimma to celebrate this year’s Easter.
The political class, traditional rulers, religious leaders, the academia, captains of industry, market women and youths gathered at St Rose the Lima Catholic Church, Omuma in Oru East local government, to worship with the governor.

It was also a day that Uzodinma pleaded with Nigerians to exercise more patience with the federal government, saying that the economic reforms by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would soon yield the expected results
The governor was emphatic that the days of suffering for Nigerians were coming to an end as the administration’s reforms have started growing fruits.
He commended Tinubu “for his bold and pragmatic economic policies which, though demanding, are already yielding positive result”.
Speaking to thousands of people who had thronged the venue of the Easter Mass to celebrate with him, Uzodimma also declared to Imo people that his prosperity agenda has been ushering dividends of democracy to both indigenes and residents.
In his Easter message entitled, LET US EMULATE CHRIST’S SACRIFICIAL LOVE THIS EASTER, the governor said his administration has not only redefined good governance in the last five years, but worked consistently to improve the lives of the people in tangible ways.
According to him, “our vision has been clear and consistent to promote the well being of all Ndi Imo through a robust economy and sustained infrastructural development”.
He urged them to use the opportunity of the Easter to re-dedicate themselves to the service of God and humanity, and for them to live exemplary lives marked by kindness, love and compassion.
He noted that God has used the federal government and security agencies to drastically restore peace in the state, thus offering them the opportunity to once again value the sanctity of life and the enduring bond of brotherhood.
“Let us therefore take inspiration from the sacrificial love of Christ who laid down His life for our salvation. As I have often said, long after we are done with politics, we will still remain brothers and sisters, bound together as the people of Imo State.”
The Catholic Bishop Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Most Rev Augustine Ukwuoma celebrated the Mass with dozens of priests.
He enjoined Christiians to use the period of Easter to renew their lives in Christ by refraining from evil deeds deeds.
