You will go to hell if you watch satellite TV – Muslim cleric warns

In a sermon that has ignited widespread debate within Nigeria’s Muslim community, Sheikh Habeebullah Adam Al-Ilory, the Mudir of Markaz Agege, delivered a bold condemnation of satellite television, labelling its use as a serious sin and a pathway to hell.
While preaching with conviction, Sheikh Habeebullah proclaimed: “Anyone who uses or installs a satellite dish in their home will not enter Al Jannah after death, because it is haram. It is a written law.”

To support his stance, the cleric presented documents outlining the perceived dangers of satellite TV for devout Muslims.
His remarks, now circulating widely on social media, have sparked both praise and backlash.
While some have hailed his firm stand on preserving moral integrity, others have criticised the message as impractical in today’s technology-driven world.
Sheikh Habeebullah, the son of esteemed Islamic scholar Sheikh Adam Abdullah Al-Ilory, remains a prominent figure in Islamic education through his leadership at Markaz Agege.
